Oka is a vocalist, producer, performer, and sound artist. Her work moves at the intersection of electro-acoustic, ambient, and experimental music with a focus on the poetics of the voice. She explores the tonal qualities of melodies, perceiving words as music, and uses various instruments such as recorder-flute, electric guitar, valiha, mouth harp, kalimba as well as field recordings and found objects to create vibrant and captivating sound worlds.
