LIMBO LIGHTING (RS)
LIVE PERFORMANCE

Limbo Lighting, a duo by Marko Paunović and Vukašin Đelić, was formed in 2018 and is based on the intertwining of synthesizers, samplers, magnetic tapes, processors, and pedals. It draws its roots from the tradition of minimalist music, colored by psychedelia, hypnotic mantras, and sonic dreamscapes of sound vibrations. After an extensive concert activity, they are currently finishing work on their first studio album.

Exploring the sonic potential of melancholic landscapes within the framework of minimalism and drone, Marko Paunović employs extensive manipulation of four-channel magnetic tapes, analog synthesizers, and looped audio fragments in his work, emphasizing either the abstract atmosphere or the pure sonic content of vocal (primarily choral) performances. Avant-garde and neo-avant-garde movements of the 20th century, especially 'individual mythologies', have had a decisive influence on this artist, who often resorts to reviving sound archives in his compositions. His poetic-theoretical texts represent examples of conceptual linguistic ('l=a=n=g=u=a=g=e') poetry, serving as starting points for the creation of compositions. By reflecting on the act of their own genesis, they delve into the field of 'lecture performance' with each performance.

Vukašin Đelić‘s creative process has gone through various phases, starting from the early 2000s when he approached the guitar as a receptor. Using objects and devices such as mobile phones, discman, players, computer equipment, and other battery-powered aids, he composed music based almost exclusively on those frequencies and interferences. The result of this practice is the albums released under the name WoO, between 2006 and 2012. In 2016, he founded the band Dol, inspired by early blues and folk albums, travel literature and films, comics, and science fiction. As one of the few bands with two drummers, they perform live at Studio 6, after which they record their second release. The band is currently working on their third album. In 2020, he released the album 'U Zavisnosti Od Dana', his first under his own name, which he recorded over six days in his house in Grocka. The music on the album is characterized by chaotic, dark, and repetitive rhythms, enriched with bright and cinematic melodies. On March 1, 2024, he released his second album 'Od Sutra', consisting of compositions created over a period of three years. Experimenting with the wild side of samplers, drum machines, and synthesizers, Vukašin creates dreamy micro pop music.
