Amidst the primordial karst terrain of Slovenia’s Rakov Škocjan, we craft intentional spaces for collective listening and shared discovery, giving life to a transient, ephemeral community powered by mutual exchange between audiences, artists, and the intimate environment shared by humans
and non-humans alike.
The program unfolds across three days and nights as a continuous stream, from amber mornings to velvet hours, interweaving avant-garde ambience and electronics, left-field sonics, exploratory dance, morphing club textures, augmented field recordings, and all-around sonic experimentalism. Beyond the auditory dimension, scenographic works—such as site-specific installations, contemporary movement performances, and unique world-building experiences—transform the landscape zone during NīANSA, offering a full-spectrum sensory delight for every voyager traversing with us.
The communal aspects of the gathering emerge organically, with shared curated meals and artisan-crafted liquid offerings amid bespoke chill-out spaces facilitating natural and impromptu interactions between participants. The luminous karst terrain becomes both venue and creative collaborator through site-responsive works such as projection mappings that shapeshift across limestone faces, environmental sound works that converse with the elements, and performances that emerge organically from the landscape itself.
