DIALECTlive performance

Dialect is the solo project of British musician and composer Andrew PM Hunt. Embracing an intuitive, collage-like approach to sound, he assembles rich organic textures with evocative electro-acoustic environments, resulting in compositions that are both fragmented and deeply personal. Following a progression of concept-rich releases across almost a decade, Dialect marks a return to RVNG Intl. in 2024 with Atlas of Green, a work of speculative musical poetry melding a patchwork of scavenged relics and bygone hues through the shimmers of a mid-future in flux.

Nurturing new gradients between improvisation and composition in his live show, Dialect navigates both the
realms of narrative and pure sensation, grounding his material by prioritizing emotional depth and resonance.

“I’m interested in achieving a balance of design and chance in my music, inspired by natural processes,”.

SONOTOPIA is an experimental, interdisciplinary concert series curated by Nataša Serec. Combining live music, visual projections, light art and multimedia installations, the platform presents avant-garde performances in the fields of electroacoustic experimentation, electronic improvisation and audiovisual composition. Combining installations, concerts and immersive experiences, Sonotopia intertwines different artistic expressions while shedding light on contemporary social issues and creating a space in which boundaries dissolve and new dialogues emerge. The centrepiece of the Sonotopia series is Sounding Spomenik, curated by László Juhász and Nataša Serec, which uses electroacoustic interventions to bring to life the anti-fascist monuments of Yugoslavia. Transforming these silent architectural relics into resonant sites of collective memory.
