Olga Uzikaeva
MOVEMENT INTERVENTIONS
Olga Uzikaeva is a Vladivostok-born, Belgrade-based movement artist working at the intersection of dance, theatre, visual art, and technology. Her work explores the intimate connection between mind and body through the lens of instant composition—performance unfolding in the present moment. Her interdisciplinary practice is shaped by themes of borders, belonging, and limitation, often reflecting her lived experience as a stranger abroad.
Site-specificity is central to Olga’s approach. Whether in urban environments or natural settings, she engages in a dialogue with space, embracing its textures, rhythms, and so-called imperfections. Her creative process blends improvisation with fixed structures, always leaving room for spontaneity and presence.
Drawing from history and personal memory, she explores the circularity of time and recurring patterns in human experience.
